Karsh Portraits

Karsh is the Man, this Canadian Photographic Superstar lived and worked in Ottawa. Producing some of the most interesting portraits of the 20th Century.

This book, Karsh Portraits, in the Learning Resource Centre showcases some of his most famous portraits.

For those that are interested in seeing some work by Karsh first hand take a stroll through the lobby and halls of the Chateau Laurier in downtown Ottawa and you will see many original Karsh prints.

Karsh lived and had his studio at the hotel for many years, the portrait of Winston Churchill was taken at the spot were the print now hangs.
