Last weekend students and staff took part in Help-Portrait a photo movement started by photographer Jeremy Cowart, and it was a resounding success.   

Thanks to all the students, staff and other volunteers who donated their time to photograph people in need of a little help.   

In Real Life Six Women Photographers by Leslie Sills

This book looks at six women photographers starting with Imogen Cunningham, Dorothea Lange and Lola Alvarez Bravo, and finishing up with three contemporary female photographers Carrie Mae Weems, Else Dorfman and Cindy Sherman.

Robert Frank - Paris, London/Wales and Peru

Three new books at the LRC Robert Frank's Paris, London/Wales and Peru.

Although Frank is best known for his seminal work The Americans these three books cover his other street photography work from around the world.

Platon's Portraits of Power

Angie D, has found us a very interesting interactive Multimedia presentation of Platon's Portraits of Power at The New Yorker Magazine. It showcases the best of Platon's work and a really interesting Multimedia web presentation.
